You might remember that Kinokuniya hosted an online event last July titled ‘The Inside Stories of Japanese Academic Publishing’.
As we received many positive feedbacks from all of you who had attended, we are very happy to inform you that we are doing another one next week!
This time, three academic publishers below will have a discussion with a focus on digital publishing post-covid.
The session will be about 90 minutes in total in Japanese, and the webinar recording will be available to the registrants for one week.

The 17th Forum on the Collaborative Reference Database Project
The Collaborative Reference Database (CRD) is a tool for providing reference services at the National Diet Library, Japan (NDL), that is currently being developed in collaboration with libraries throughout Japan. At present, the database comprises about 150,000 questions that were submitted to reference librarians throughout Japan and which, together with their answers, are available to be browsed by the general public.

This is a new workshop series for researchers who are interested in Japanese antiquarian materials.

These seminars were held outside of Japan mainly targeted to post graduate students. From this webpage, some of the slides used at the seminars can be accessible.

Date: 3 days: 21-23 April 2021, 10:30-15:50 (Central Europe Summer Time)
Instructors: Professor Yamamoto Kazuaki, first 5 sessions on 古典籍. Associate Professor Ōta Naohiro, last 4 sessions on 古文書.
Committee Members: Akira Hirano, Naomi Yabe Magnussen, Izumi Tytler (adviser)
Format: ZOOM (supported by Oslo University). 3 sessions a day. 70 minutes a session. Each session had lecture part and practise part.

内容・趣旨
前回の「くずし字教育」分科会（第1回）で話し合われた通り、今回の分科会で
は、立命館大学アート・リサーチセンター（ARC）のくずし字解読・翻刻支援シ
ステムを使って、くずし字をどのように教え、学ぶことが可能か、デモンスト
レーション（実演）を行い、議論します。Zoom開催です。
